The Saskatoon Fringe is back this summer and Lumina Adventure Entertainment will be there with a brand new kids’ play!
What is Storytelling Alive?
The best stories are the ones we create ourselves, born of authentic human creativity.
Lumina’s Kevin Kermack brings some of your favourite children’s stories to life with art, puppetry, and audience connection. And of course, each one has its own special twist.
Kids are encouraged to join in, lending their voice as Little Red Riding Hood gets in a wrestling match and the Gingerbread Man helps the tortoise with the big race! The heartwarming stories will be loved by all ages as old favourites are shown in a new light and goofy antics take centre stage.

The show runs 45 minutes and promises to be fun for all ages.

Children’s Theatre at the Saskatoon Fringe
The Saskatoon Fringe presents a great opportunity for kids to engage with theatre. For years, 25th Street Theatre has held a space for youth to experience the joy of theatre and for artists to engage with kids through stories, puppetry, and wacky antics. Storytelling Alive promises fun and laughter for kids and caregivers alike. Kevin Kermack is a “kids’ theatre veteran” with over fifteen years of experience in performing and producing plays for children and youth.
About the Artists
Kevin Kermack is a “kids’ theatre veteran” with over fifteen years of experience producing plays and performing for children and youth. He brings vibrant energy to the stage that keeps kids engaged. He’s especially honoured to be working on this project with his daughter who plans to join him on stage to bring the stories to life through her art.
Director Monika Holman is a long-time collaborator and brings her puppetry skills and eye for fun to the stage. When she’s not blocking out a race scene, she’s often found juggling in the park.
